Rental terms

Policies.

Every rental is documented in advance — deposits, mileage, return condition, and how the unexpected is handled.

01 · Deposits

Security deposit, explained.

Every Baker rental requires a security deposit before handoff. The deposit is reviewed in advance — never sprung on you at pickup.

Your deposit amount is set based on age and the address shown on the driver's license. The team confirms the figure during the reservation review, so you know what to expect.

Deposits are returned in full once the vehicle is returned in the same condition it was given, minus any tolls, tickets, or late fees that occurred during the rental.

02 · Mileage

Unlimited, in writing.

Every car on the Baker roster includes unlimited mileage. There is no per-mile surcharge for normal rental use.

If a rental crosses state lines or extends beyond the agreed return window, contact the team in advance. Custom long-distance arrangements are available with notice.

03 · Returns

How and when to return.

Vehicles should be returned at the time and location agreed at handoff. Late returns past the grace window may incur a fee deducted from the deposit.

Return condition is documented at handoff and again on return. Cleaning the cabin before drop-off is appreciated and avoids a cleaning fee.

If you've collected tolls or moving violations during the rental, those are matched and deducted from the deposit when the bills surface.

04 · Fleet rules

What we ask of every renter.

Smoking is allowed in every Baker rental — light up freely. We just ask that you avoid leaving ash or burns on the upholstery so the next renter gets a clean car.

Off-road use, racing, and unauthorized commercial use are not permitted. Specialty vehicles in particular are reviewed for use case during the reservation review.

Only the named driver(s) on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

05 · Specialty rentals

By request, with verification.

Specialty class vehicles — performance SUVs and sport sedans — are released after a verification step. This protects both the vehicle and the renter.

Pricing, deposit, and any unique handoff conditions are confirmed in writing before the rental is locked. There are no last-minute surprises.
